hi, I am Jana.

Sugar Leaf Photo Co is my heart and soul. We have been through many transformations together in the last five years. My Photography journey began with dabbling in many genres of the art for a year or so. Portrait photography with a focus on boudoir quickly became a passion of mine. The privilege of capturing people in an intimate way that celebrates their spirit and soul is one that I am so thankful to have.

Our world offers us much beauty. From the tall trees, deeps oceans and humans, we get to see so many beautiful beings. Somewhere along the way, humans have stopped celebrating their beauty. We are told to fit in this box and if you do not, that you are not good enough. During the Sugar Leaf Experience, I show you that you are the roots of the earth and clouds in the sky, a being worthy of self love and endless celebration. You leave the session with a lighter heart and a new appreciation of your wonderfully weird and sexy self.

Photographing beings as they are in their life has granted me more appreciation of myself. I allow gratitude to overflow for what my body does for me. It is how she carries me through my day that matters; not how she looks while doing it. My strong legs are my trunk lifting me into the sky, my soft skin holds me together when I am weak and hips that remind me I am motion in a vessel. That is the energy and the beauty that I capture in your session and it such an honor to do so.
